Thrillers aren't that popular because many people might be getting bored of it, maybe because they see something similar like these in other films.
Female are more into romance films and period dramas, these type of films are soft and heartbreaking while Male are more into Sci Fi, action and Crime because they are more masculine.
Thriller films are targeted at an older audience.
